We’re cramped for space!

Somocap is expanding and will be installing a new building 10 km from its historic site to increase production and strengthen its position in medium-sized production runs of non-standard parts.

Nestling in the heart of the Basque Country and employing 55 people, our family business is expanding and has ambitions for which the current premises are no longer sufficient.

To keep up, we need to expand. Somocap is investing €5.5 million to create a new building 10 km from its historic site. By mid-2025, the company plans to use the 10,000 sq. m. of land it has chosen to build a 2,500 sq. m. factory, with the possibility of extension, which will eventually house all its technical activities relating to composites and plastics. Rubber production will remain at the current site, with strong synergies between the two sites, in line with the company’s differentiation based on the hybridisation of materials.

We’re counting on this new site to help us develop our medium-volume production business, by favouring the shortest possible routes with both our suppliers and our customers, as part of our CSR approach.
