A strong commitment to quality

Behind the many projects in the aerospace, medical, construction, electronics, renewable energy, industrial and other sectors lie our technical parts in plastic, rubber and composite materials.

Built around ISO 9001: 2015 Certification, our Quality system is based on the process approach, with the customer at the heart of all our processes. Firmly focused on cutting-edge markets, SOMOCAP completed its ISO 9001 certification in 2018 with EN 9100: 2018 certification, specific to aeronautics, to meet the requirements and constraints of all its principals, who are concerned about the reliability and excellence of their suppliers.

The company’s equipment investment and continuous improvement policies (process control, control cards, MSP) are designed to enable it to constantly improve its skills. The continuous improvement approach also includes safety and the environment, which are priorities in our approach to industrial development.

We believe in the power of collaboration. We work closely with our customers to understand their needs and co-develop innovative plastics solutions. Our strategic partnerships give us access to the latest technologies and keep us at the forefront of innovation.

Our innovative strength is not limited to our production processes, but extends to :

  • research into new materials that are lighter, more environmentally-friendly, more temperature-resistant, etc.
  • the search for competitiveness for our customers, through reliable and rapid processes, and environmentally-friendly solutions.
  • adding new technologies: additive manufacturing, marking, assembly, etc.
  • R&D programmes, in particular to improve the recycling of our products.

This policy led us to file a patent in 2018 on TP overmoulding of composites in collaboration with Epsilon Composites.

Our region

At Somocap, our commitment to our beautiful region, the Basque Country, is not limited to our commercial activities. We are a company that believes deeply in giving back to the community and promoting the local economy.

Our partnerships with local businesses, our support for cultural, sporting and humanitarian entities and our integration into local life all demonstrate our sincere commitment to this magnificent region that we are proud to call home. Together with other companies, we have created the Pays Basque Industrie association to pool our determination to invest in the future of our region.
